Overview#
Dragging works exactly as before. After you move an appointment, a quiet Check board chip appears in the board's toolbar. Click it to see what the day now has wrong: late arrivals given drive time, double-booking, long drives, missing skills, someone over capacity or booked on a day off. Tighten route previews a shorter visit order for one technician, with drive minutes before and after. Applying it saves the order; every promised arrival window stays exactly as it is.
Before you start#
You need permission to dispatch.
Both work without AI (they're rule-based).
Drive times use your routing provider when connected, otherwise a straight-line estimate (labelled as such).
Steps#
Check the board after a move#
Drag an appointment to a new time or technician.
Click Check board in the toolbar.
Read the list. Issues from the appointments you moved are listed first.
Fix what you want by dragging. The chip changes nothing on its own.
Tighten a technician's route#
Click Tighten route in the toolbar.
Pick the Technician and click Preview.
Compare Now and Suggested: the stop order, each stop's window, the estimated arrival, and the drive minutes.
Click Apply order to save the visit order, or Discard to leave the day as it is.
Settings that change this#
Settings › AI › AI assists › Check board and Tighten route.
Settings › Dispatch Board: skills and hours used by the checks.
Tips#
Only stops nobody has started, worked by that technician alone, and on the map are reordered.
If no order can reach every stop inside its window, Tighten route says so and changes nothing.
Troubleshooting#
No Check board chip → it appears only after you move an appointment on this page → make a move first (it resets when you change day or reload).
"Some of these addresses aren't on the map yet" → geocode the locations.
"The day changed since this was suggested" → someone moved a stop → preview again.
FAQ#
Will Tighten route change what we told the customer? No. Arrival windows never change; only the order of visits inside them.
Does the technician app show the new order? Not yet. The order is saved and shown in the preview; showing it in the field app is coming soon.
Coming from ServiceTitan#
The board behaves like ServiceTitan's Dispatch Board. These two tools are extra.
