Overview#
Code check answers questions like clearance in front of a panel, T&P discharge piping, bonding, venting, GFCI and AFCI. Answers cite only sections from TradesWork's curated library (NEC, IRC, IMC, IPC, UPC, IFGC) with the edition your company says your jurisdiction adopted, for example "NEC 2023 §110.26". If no library section covers it, or the AI isn't sure, it says so. Every answer says to verify with your AHJ.
Before you start#
An owner or admin sets the jurisdiction and editions in Settings › AI › Field AI tools: code check. Without them answers show "edition not set".
Without AI, Code check shows the library sections that match your words and writes no answer.
Steps#
Tap Code check in AI assists.
Type Your question; optionally add a photo for possible violations.
Tap Check. Read the Answer, its confidence, the cited Sections and the AHJ note.
Save to job notes or Dismiss.
Settings that change this#

Tips#
Summaries are plain-English paraphrases, not the code's text. Local amendments aren't tracked.
Troubleshooting#
"A reference the AI gave isn't in our code library, so it was left out" → the answer is shown without that citation; check it with the AHJ.
FAQ#
Q: Can it make up a section number? No. Citations outside the library are removed before you see the answer.
Coming from ServiceTitan#
