Overview#
This article lists the marketing features that are not in TradesWork yet. For each one it says what you can do today. Nothing here is available until this article says so; dates aren't promised.
Some of these will be done by TradesForce, our sister marketing product, which connects to TradesWork over MCP. TradesWork supplies the jobs, revenue, open estimates, members due for a visit and booking capacity; TradesForce runs ads, reviews and outreach on top of it.
Before you start#
Nothing to set up. To use what exists today, see the linked articles.
Connections marked Coming soon also appear in Settings › Integrations › Connections.
Steps#
Use this list to decide what to do today while each feature is on the way.
Reputation#
Google review inbox and replies (Google Business Profile): coming soon. Pulling Google reviews into TradesWork, matching them to the job and technician, and replying (with AI drafts) is not built. Today: turn on review requests and add your Google review link, so every customer is asked after the job. See Ask for reviews after every job.
Review auto-responder: coming soon, with the Google connection.
Listings management (keeping your name, address and phone in sync across Google, Yelp and other directories): not built. Keep listings up to date in each directory yourself.
Social publishing (posting job photos to Google, Facebook or Instagram): not built.
Review delivery and click metrics: partly built. The Reviews page shows requests sent, ratings, response rate and which public sites customers opened. It doesn't show text delivery receipts or confirm that a public review was posted.
Ads and attribution#
Google Ads connection: coming soon. Importing ad cost, revenue by keyword, and sending booked and sold jobs back to Google Ads as offline conversions is not built. Today: give each ad its own campaign and tracking number (ask support), and read Revenue by marketing channel on Reports. See Campaigns and lead source attribution.
UTM tags and Google click id on leads: not stored yet. They come with the Google Ads connection.
Marketing cost per campaign and return on ad spend: not built. Reports show jobs, sold and collected revenue per channel, but not what you spent.
Campaign settings page: not built. You can't add, rename or change the channel of a campaign by hand yet. Campaigns come from lead sources, online booking, referrals, memberships, TradesForce and the ServiceTitan import.
Self-serve tracking numbers and dynamic number insertion (swapping the number on your website by visitor source): not built. Tracking numbers are set up by TradesWork support today.
CallRail connection: coming soon. If you keep CallRail, send its leads to the webhook lead source in Settings › Integrations › Booking Providers & Lead Sources.
Facebook lead ads: not built as a direct connection. Forward the lead notification emails to your lead email address, or send them through Zapier to the webhook source.
Outreach#
One-time campaigns (email, text or direct-mail blasts to a list): not built. Today, automations reach customers one at a time when something happens or on a schedule, for example Win back customers not seen in a year or Renewal reminder 30 days out. See Automated campaigns.
Email newsletters and an email template designer: not built. Automations can send a plain-text email per customer (Email the customer), with a per-address opt-out list.
Segment builder (lists like "members with aging equipment"): not built as a screen. TradesForce can already read some ready-made audiences over MCP: unsold estimates, members with a maintenance visit due, and replacement candidates.
Direct mail postcards: not built.
Automatic referral invitations: not built. Customers find their referral link in the customer portal, and the office can copy it from the customer page. See Run a customer referral program.
Opt-out list import and export: partly built. You can add addresses to Automated email opt-outs one at a time. Importing your ServiceTitan suppression list, and text opt-outs from ServiceTitan, is not built yet.
What already works#
Review requests with private ratings, public links for everyone, low-rating tasks and a dashboard.
A referral program with fraud checks and reward approval.
Automated campaigns from a template library, with tests, approvals and run history.
Lead sources (Angi, Thumbtack, webhooks, lead emails) into one Leads inbox, with campaigns on booked jobs.
Revenue by marketing channel on Reports and over MCP for TradesForce.
The demand forecast, which tells TradesForce when to fill the board and when to throttle ads.
Settings that change this#
Settings › Integrations › Connections: shows Google Business Profile, Google Ads and CallRail as Coming soon.
Settings › Marketing › Customer Portal & Reputation: review requests and referrals that work today.
Tips#
Set up campaigns and tracking numbers now. When the Google Ads connection ships, your history is already attributed.
Keep Google auto-tagging on in your Google Ads account. The connection will use it.
Tell support which of these features matters most to you. It helps us order the work.
Troubleshooting#
I can't find where to reply to Google reviews → It isn't built yet. Reply in Google Business Profile for now.
I can't find where to send an email blast → It isn't built yet. Use an automation for event-based messages, or your current email tool for newsletters.
A connection card says Coming soon → It isn't available yet. Its page shows what you can do today.
FAQ#
When will these ship? There are no promised dates. This article is updated when each one ships, and its status changes from coming soon.
Do I need TradesForce? No. Everything listed under "What already works" is part of TradesWork. TradesForce adds paid ads, reviews and outreach on top.
Where do I ask for a feature? See Help center and support.
