Welcome to TradesWork

Overview#

TradesWork runs a trade contracting business: calls, jobs, dispatch, estimates, invoices, payments, memberships and reports. It has two parts. The office web app is for owners, office managers, dispatchers, CSRs and accounting. TradesWork Field is the technician app for iPhone, Android and the web. Both use the same customers, jobs and pricebook, so what the office books shows up on the technician's phone.

Before you start#

• Someone in your company must invite you. Ask your owner or admin if you haven't received an invite email.

• Use the work email address your invite was sent to.

• Technicians: install TradesWork Field on your phone, or ask your office for the web link.

Steps#

1. Go to the TradesWork sign-in page.

2. Type your address in Work email.

3. Click Email me a sign-in link.

4. Open the email from TradesWork and click the link. You are signed in. There is no password to remember.

5. Where you land depends on your role:

   • Office roles land on the Dashboard.

   • Technicians who open the office site see Your day is in TradesWork Field. Open the Field app on your phone for today's appointments, estimates and payments.

Tips#

• Sign-in links expire. If a link doesn't work, request a new one from the sign-in page.

• If you work for more than one company in TradesWork, you sign in once and work in one company at a time.

• New to the company account? Start with Find your way around TradesWork.

Troubleshooting#

• No email arrives → it may be in spam, or your invite used a different address → check spam, then ask your admin which address they invited.

• The link says it expired → links are single-use and short-lived → request a new link from the sign-in page.

• You see "Your day is in TradesWork Field" instead of the office app → your role is Technician → ask your admin to change your role if you need the office app.

FAQ#

Do I need a password?

No. TradesWork emails you a sign-in link each time. Your email account protects your TradesWork account, so keep it secure.

Can technicians use the office app?

Technicians work in TradesWork Field. Office tools such as the dispatch board are for office roles.

Coming from ServiceTitan#

• Same idea: an office web app plus a technician mobile app that share the same jobs and customers. ServiceTitan's names (Customer, Location, Job, Appointment, Job type, Business unit, Campaign) are used here too.

• Different: you sign in with an emailed link instead of a username and password. The technician app is TradesWork Field instead of ServiceTitan Mobile.

• Where it lived: ServiceTitan's sign-in page and the ServiceTitan Mobile app.
