Overview#
Reports › Branch Reports (/reports/locations, page title By branch) puts every branch and brand on the same metric dictionary in one table. You get a company total, a row per brand and a row per branch for the period you pick. Every value opens its drill-down filtered to that branch or brand, so the records behind any number are one click away. A Warehouse export (CSV) gives job-level data for a data team.
Before you start#
You need
reports.read: Owner, Admin, Dispatcher, Customer service, Accounting or Viewer (analyst).Your company needs at least one active branch. Branches and brands are set up by an owner or admin (
branches.manage) in Settings › Operations › Branches.People an owner or admin marked Limited to their branches see only their branches (plus jobs with no branch). Owners and admins are never limited.
A job's branch is set when the job is created: by the service ZIP code, the booker's home branch, or the default branch.
Steps#
Open the roll-up#
Go to Reports › Branch Reports. You can also click By branch on All Reports (it appears once you have branches).
Pick the period at the top right: Today, This week, This month (default), This quarter, Year to date or Custom (From, To, Apply).
Read the Roll-up table. Its description shows the period.
Read the table#
Rows, top to bottom:
All branches: the whole company (shaded). For a person limited to their branches, this row is Your branches.
One row per active brand that has branches, marked with a Brand badge. Brand rows are hidden for people limited to their branches.
One row per active branch, shown as "CODE · Name", indented, with its brand name beside it.
Columns (each is the dictionary metric of the same name):
Revenue: invoice subtotals (before tax, after discounts) of sent or paid invoices dated in the period.
Jobs done: jobs completed in the period.
Avg ticket: average revenue per service invoice over $0.
Close rate: proposals sold ÷ proposals presented in the period.
A/R: what customers owe on sent invoices, as of the end of the period (or now).
A "—" means no records for that branch in the period. It is never shown as $0.
Drill into a branch#
Click any value. The metric's drill-down opens with the same period and a branch (or brand) filter.
Review the records. Use Export CSV there to download them.
Filter All Reports by branch#
On Reports › All Reports, the Branch and Brand filters (shown as "CODE · Name") narrow every metric on the page. Click Filter to apply and Clear to remove.
Download the warehouse export#
Click Warehouse export (CSV) at the top of the page.
The file
tradeswork-jobs-<date>.csvdownloads, with one row per job (a job with more than one invoice has a row per invoice), newest changes first.Columns: jobId, jobNumber, status, priority, createdAt, completedAt, updatedAt, customerId, locationId, customerType, branchCode, brand, businessUnit, jobType, campaignChannel, invoiceStatus, invoiceSubtotal, invoiceTotal, invoiceBalance, invoiceSentAt.
Amounts are in cents. Customers and locations appear as ids only, never names or contact details.
For nightly loads, a script can call the same link with
?since=<ISO date>to get only jobs changed since then. Each file returns at most 10,000 rows.People limited to their branches export only their branches.
Settings that change this#
Settings › Operations › Branches (owner and admin):
Branches: code, name, phone, hours, time zone, tax, ZIPs served and the default branch. Only active branches appear in reports.
Brands: group branches under a brand name.
Rules: the cross-branch dispatch rule and PO gate.
Branch teams: each person's branches and home branch, and the Limited checkbox that restricts them to their branches.
Settings › Your Account › Company Profile & Business Hours: the time zone that sets period boundaries.
Tips#
Compare Avg ticket and Close rate between branches before comparing revenue: they show selling habits regardless of size.
Check that every job has a branch. Jobs with no branch count in All branches but in no branch row, so branch rows may not add up to the total.
Save a branch drill-down as a view for each branch manager's weekly check-in.
Troubleshooting#
"No branches. Add branches in Settings → Branches." You have no active branches. Add them in Settings › Operations › Branches.
A branch is missing. It is inactive, or you are limited to other branches.
Brand rows don't appear. No branch is assigned to the brand, or you are limited to your branches.
Branch rows don't add up to All branches. Some jobs have no branch.
The warehouse export says "Sign in again." Your session ended.
FAQ#
Can I see other metrics by branch? Yes. Open any metric on All Reports with the Branch filter set, or use Reports › Insights to ask.
Can I compare business units the same way? Use the Business unit filter on All Reports, or the Revenue by business unit card on the Dashboard.
Does the warehouse export include customer names? No. Ids only, so it can land in a warehouse without personal data.
Coming from ServiceTitan#
In ServiceTitan, multi-location reporting is usually done with business units per location or separate tenants. TradesWork has branches and brands as their own dimensions, separate from business units, so you can report by trade (business unit) and by location (branch) at the same time. The roll-up uses the same metric definitions as every other report.
