Overview#

A saved view remembers a period, filters and (optionally) one metric so you can come back to it in one click. Views are personal: only you see yours. Export CSV downloads every record behind a metric, with a column showing what each row counts toward the number, so the file adds up to what you saw on screen. Emailing a saved view on a schedule is coming soon.

Before you start#

  • You need reports.read: Owner, Admin, Dispatcher, Customer service, Accounting or Viewer (analyst).

  • Exports follow your access. Job costing and pay metrics need their own permissions, and customer columns are blank if you can't read customers.

  • You can keep up to 50 saved views.

Steps#

Save a view#

  1. Open Reports › All Reports, or click into a metric's drill-down page.

  2. Set the period and filters you want.

  3. Click Save view.

  4. In Name, type a name up to 60 characters (for example "Install BU, this quarter").

  5. Click Save. You'll see "View saved. Find it under Reports → Saved views."

What gets saved:

  • From a metric's drill-down: that metric, the period and the filters.

  • From All Reports: the period and filters only. The view is listed as Owner dashboard and opens the Dashboard (/) with that period and business unit. Only owners and admins see the Dashboard; for anyone else it redirects to their usual page.

  • Preset periods stay relative. A view saved on This month shows the current month whenever you open it. A Custom period keeps its fixed dates.

Open or delete a saved view#

  1. Go to Reports › All Reports. The Saved views card lists your views with the metric, period and business unit.

  2. Click a view's name to open it.

  3. To delete one, click the trash icon on its row. You'll see "View deleted."

Export a metric to CSV#

  1. Open the metric's drill-down from All Reports or from a Dashboard card (Details →).

  2. Set the period and filters.

  3. Click Export CSV. The file downloads straight away.

What's in the file:

  • One row per record (every page, not just the 50 on screen), newest first.

  • The same columns as the on-screen table.

  • An extra column: Counts toward [Metric] for sum metrics, or Counts toward numerator and Counts toward denominator for ratio metrics like Close rate.

  • Money as dollars with two decimals, dates and times in ISO format, yes/no for true/false.

  • File name: the metric id and the period, for example revenue_2026-10-01_2026-10-15.csv.

  • Text cells that start with =, +, - or @ get a leading apostrophe so spreadsheets don't run them as formulas.

Other exports#

  • Warehouse export (CSV) on Reports › Branch Reports: one row per job with branch, brand, business unit, job type, channel and invoice amounts (ids only, no customer names). See the branch reports article.

  • Show the numbers under each Dashboard chart opens a table you can read or copy. It isn't a download.

  • Download everything (.zip) under Settings › Tools › Import / Export Data exports every company table. Only the owner can run it.

Settings that change this#

  • Your role's permissions decide which metrics you can save or export, and whether customer names appear.

  • Settings › Your Account › Company Profile & Business Hours: the time zone used for period boundaries in views and exports.

Tips#

  • Name views by audience and purpose ("Monday huddle: service close rate") so they're easy to find.

  • Save a drill-down with a Technician filter for each person you coach.

  • To share numbers with someone, export the CSV. Saved views can't be shared.

Troubleshooting#

  • "Name the view." The name was empty.

  • "You can keep up to 50 saved views. Delete one first." Remove an old view.

  • "Pick a start and end day for a custom period." A custom period needs both dates, with the start on or before the end.

  • The export says "You don't have access to reports." Your role lacks reports.read.

  • The export says "Sign in first." Your session ended. Sign in and try again.

  • A view opens the Dashboard instead of a report. It was saved from All Reports, not from a metric page.

  • "That view no longer exists." It was already deleted (perhaps in another tab).

FAQ#

Can my team see my saved views? No. Views are private to the person who saved them.

Can I get a report emailed every week? Not yet. Scheduled email of a saved view is coming soon. Until then, use the morning brief and watchlist alerts on Reports › Insights.

Does the CSV match the number on screen? Yes. The contribution column adds up to the metric's value for the same period and filters.

Can I export to Excel? Open the CSV in Excel or Google Sheets.

Coming from ServiceTitan#

ServiceTitan lets you save report templates to My Reports, share them and schedule emails. In TradesWork, saved views are personal bookmarks of a metric, period and filters, and scheduled emails are coming soon. Every export is the detail rows behind one dictionary metric, with a column that reconciles to the total, rather than a custom column layout.
