TradesWork plans and pricing

Overview#

TradesWork is billed per technician per month. Office users, helpers, apprentices and view-only users are free and unlimited. There are three plans, each available annually (a lower price per seat, billed once a year) or month to month. Every company starts with a 14-day free trial with no card.

Before you start#

• Only Owners and Admins see Plan & Billing.

• Prices below are per technician seat per month, in US dollars.

Basic AI is included in your plan.

Steps#

See your plan#

1. Open Settings › Your Account › Plan & Billing (the page is titled Plan and billing).

2. Your plan shows the status badge (for example Free trial or Active), Plan and billing interval, Technician seats, Estimated monthly cost (or Monthly cost when active) and when the trial ends or the plan renews.

Compare and subscribe#

1. Under Choose a plan, switch between Annual (save 15%) and Month to month.

2. Each plan card shows the price per tech per month, and You: $X/month for N seats for your company.

3. Press Subscribe on the plan you want. You'll pay securely through the billing provider's checkout.

4. Your subscription starts when the payment is confirmed. You'll see Thanks! Your subscription starts as soon as the payment is confirmed.

Change plans later#

1. Press Manage billing at the top of the page to open the billing portal.

2. Change plan, card or billing interval there.

Settings that change this#

• Settings › People › Employees & Role Permissions: adding or removing technicians changes your seat count automatically (prorated).

Tips#

• Annual billing costs less per seat (about 13% less than month to month at today's prices) and is billed yearly. The Works drops to $169 per tech per month on annual at 50 or more technicians.

• An owner-operator counts as one technician seat: billing counts at least one seat.

• During the trial you can press Try this plan during the trial to switch which plan you're trying, with no charge.

Troubleshooting#

• "Billing isn't configured on this server" → plans are shown, but nothing can be bought here yet. → Your trial keeps running. Contact support.

• "You already have a subscription. Use Manage billing to change it." → you're already subscribed. → Use Manage billing.

• The badge says "Managed by support" → your company was set up by hand and isn't on a self-serve plan. → Contact support to change billing.

• A seat-sync warning shows on the page → the billing provider couldn't be updated after a team change. → It retries on the next team change; contact support if it stays.

FAQ#

Do office staff cost extra? No. Only active technicians are billed seats.

Are features locked by plan? The plan cards list what each plan is built for. Today TradesWork doesn't switch features off by plan in the app; your plan sets your price. Check the plan page for the current details before you subscribe.

Is there a setup fee or contract? No setup fee is charged in TradesWork. Month to month can be cancelled any time in Manage billing.

Do you charge for card processing? Card and bank processing fees are charged by Stripe to your own Stripe account. See Set up card and bank payments with Stripe.

TradesWork is priced per technician, like most field service software, with free office users, a 14-day free trial with no card, and month-to-month available. Switching tools (the import kit, sandbox companies) are included.
