Overview#

My pay shows your own pay, live, for today, this week or the whole pay period. Each line says where the money came from (a sale, a finished job, a payment, your hours) and the rule that produced it, like "5% of $4,200 = $210". You see what's pending and what's approved, and your payday. If a line looks wrong, tap Question this and the office gets a task to answer you.

Before you start#

  • You need perfpay.own. Technicians, dispatchers, customer service and accounting have it (owners and admins hold every permission). Viewers don't; they see "My pay isn't available for your role."

  • Your company puts you on a pay plan in the office under Accounting › Performance Pay. Without a plan you see "You're not on a pay plan."

  • You only ever see your own pay.

  • Sending a question needs signal. The pay page itself shows the last synced copy offline.

Steps#

Open My pay#

  1. On Today, tap the Time card.

  2. At the top of the Time screen, tap My pay ("What you've earned this pay period, line by line").

Read the summary#

  1. At the top, pick Today, This week or Pay period. (Older periods show the whole period only.)

  2. The summary card shows the period dates and a status badge: Pending approval, Approved or Sent to payroll.

  3. The big number is your Total. Under it: Commission and spiffs, Hourly (if you have an hourly rate on file) and Tips.

  4. Below that: Pending $X, Approved $X and Payday Fri, Mar 14.

  5. While the period is open: "Live: changes as you sell, finish jobs and get paid. The office approves it after the period ends."

Read the lines#

  1. By job groups lines under each job, for example Job #10001 · Replace capacitor, with the job total.

  2. Hours, bonuses and adjustments holds lines not tied to one job.

  3. Each line has a kind (Commission, Spiff, Flat rate, Bonus, Guarantee top-up, Adjustment, Taken back, Tip, Hourly) and a plain explanation:

    • "5% of $4,200 = $210"

    • "$25 × 1 = $25" (a spiff)

    • "Refund within 30 days of earning $210 on Mar 3" (a line taken back)

    • "Gross profit isn't known yet: 2 line(s) have no cost. Paid once the office enters costs." (shown as Not paid yet)

  4. A line marked Late: from the period of Mar 3 belongs to an earlier, already approved period and was carried into this one.

  5. How you're paid · Plan name lists each rule of your plan in plain words, and any guarantee.

Question a line#

  1. Under the line, tap Question this. To ask about the whole period, tap Question the whole period at the bottom.

  2. In What looks wrong?, type your note, for example "I sold the Best option, not Better."

  3. Tap Send to the office. You'll see "Sent. The office will answer here."

  4. Your question appears under Your questions as Waiting for the office. When answered, it shows Answered: and the office's reply.

Look at other periods#

  1. Tap ‹ Previous period to go back. Tap Next period › or Current period to return.

Settings that change this#

  • Accounting › Performance Pay (owners and admins, perfpay.manage): pay plans and their rules (commission on revenue or gross profit, tiers, spiffs per item or per membership, flat rates, bonuses, guarantees), who is on which plan, job splits, adjustments, approving periods and answering Pay questions.

  • Settings › People › Payroll: the pay period length and workweek, which set the period dates you see.

Tips#

  • Pending pay changes until the office approves the period. Approved pay is locked; anything that changes later shows up in your next period.

  • If a sale was shared, the line shows your share, for example "5% of your 50% share of $4,200".

  • Ask early. A question opens a task in the owner's queue that names you and the job, never the amount.

Troubleshooting#

  • "You're offline. This is your pay as of the last sync." → no signal → the numbers may be behind. Pull down to refresh when you're back online.

  • "Needs signal to send." → you tried to send a question offline → send it when you have signal.

  • A commission says Not paid yet → the job has lines without a cost, and your plan pays on gross profit → the office enters the costs, then it pays.

  • A line says Taken back → the invoice was refunded or voided, the job was canceled, or a membership was canceled within your plan's window.

  • Nothing yet → you haven't sold, finished or clocked anything this period.

FAQ#

Can I see other technicians' pay? No. My pay only shows your own.

Are hourly wages paid from here? Hours are paid by payroll from your timesheet. If no hourly rate is on file, you'll see "Hours are paid by payroll from your timesheet."

Where do my tips show? Tips recorded on your jobs show as Tip lines and in the Tips total. Tip lines have no Question this button; ask about the whole period instead.

Coming from ServiceTitan#

  • Similar to the technician performance and payroll views in ServiceTitan, but every line explains its rule in plain words.

  • Different: the "Question this" button sends a tracked question to the office and the answer shows right on the line.

  • Pay plans live in Accounting › Performance Pay, which replaces ServiceTitan's payroll and commission setup.
